When Emily was three years old, doctors discovered that she had a rare condition called AVM (Arteriovenous malformation) - if you’re not familiar this means the arteries and veins in an arteriovenous malformation can rupture, causing severe bleeding and can be life threatening due to hemorrhaging. Emily had eight episodes of hemorrhaging before emergency surgery when she was three.
Dr. Waner performed her surgery in Arkansas when she was a child and she has had no issues for over 20+ years.
A few days ago, she began to experience severe pain and loss of mobility in her hand (where the previous surgery was) and obvious visible changes in her hand.
The past 24 hours have taken a turn for the worse. Emily and her husband ended up at the hospital in Seattle last night. Since then, they’ve received the news that surgery is needed - immediately.
Her surgeon is now located in New York and her and Nathan will be flying out in the next few days tentatively for her to have an operation. Because her condition is so rare, Dr. Waner is one of leading specialists in the nation. This is what is needed to help provide her with the best outcome and long term healing.
As you can imagine, this entails travel, lodging, food, and medical expenses (that are at this time unknown) for 10+ days.
Both Nathan and Emily being self-employee, they don’t have insurance. They belong to a medi-share and don’t know what will be covered.
Would you help bridge the gap and take the stress and anxiety off of Nathan and Emily financially during this overwhelming and unknown season?
As most of you know, Emily is a loving daughter, sister, wife and mom. She’s also an incredible wedding photographer and self proclaimed master gardener. This has completely flipped her world upside down. The unknowns of this situation can be debilitating mentally, so if you can’t give financially, please be fervent in prayer for her, Nathan, Niyah, Eli, and her family.
